Poet and editor, Ilona Yusuf ’s poems have appeared once in book form, Picture This (Alhamra Publishing, 2001) and thereafter in journals in print and online. Her editing career began with the Alhamra Literary Review (2005-2007) and as co-editor of a special issue of Pakistani Poetry by Vallum Magazine (2012). She has been the Associate Editor of The Aleph Review since its inception in 2017, and has presented Pakistani poetry at literary festivals since 2012. Ilona has written essays on Pakistani poetry in English for international journals, and freelanced for several features magazines, on art and writing. She makes artists’ books as a way of combining art and writing.
